Hey Guys, I have a Z170X-Gaming 3 (U3E1) running on default bios with Intel Core i5-6500 and I’m looking to buy (2 X 8GB) 16GB DDR4 ram sticks.
I didn’t flash my Motherboard because I was told warranty doesn’t cover a bricked board from in my country. I prefer to avoid that risk when possible.

Keeping the price in consideration, which ram should I buy that would work well with an old bios version ?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Any of the DDR4-3200MHz ram kits will do but the easiest to work with is G.Skill's Ripjaws. Also, make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard.

Thank you. Sorry for the late reply. I've found the G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 for almost the same price. Would it work well with my Mobo, since its max MHZ is DDR4 3466(O.C.)?
Is it possible to decrease the Mhz through the overclocking feature?
I'm just keeping a list of choices available in case I don't find the 1st Ripjaws model.
