Which Ram to Buy?

Hello forum,
This is my first topic, plz help me...............!


A ram with high speed and latency or a ram with low speed with low latencies, which one is better to buy?
for example a ram with 1866mhz with 9-10-9-24 latency or a ram with 1600mhz with 8-8-8-20

I wouldn't buy some of that funky ram with odd timings. Most boards work with 9-9-9-24 timings using CL9 ram; of the two you mentioned, try the 8-8-8-20 if the price is right; otherwise, go with the standard CL9 ram that's most common.

I don't think it's worth paying for anything fancier than 9-9-9-24 1600mhz. You won't see any difference except in RAM-benchmarking tests.
