im building a new budget gaming system and was wondering which ram would be best to get. im using an e4300 and ds3 mobo and intent to overclock to 3 ghz so i wont need 2 overclock whatevr ram i decide to get.

its come down to 2 choices:

kingston valueram 2gb pc-6400 cl5

crucial ballistix 2gb pc-6400 cl4
http://c1com.co.nz/shop/step1.php?number=6695

the valueram is $40 cheaper but im not sure what the reliability and performance of this ram is compared to the crucial. also if i do decide on the kingston, would i be able to set it back to 667mhz and tighten timings to 4-4-4-12? which ram do u think will be best for my system? thnx.

The CRUCIAL BALLISTIX is awesome memory. It overclocks much easier than the KINGSTON as it is designed for it.Go with the crucial.Goodluck.

well i wont b overclocking the ram so that part doesnt matter. i just want 2 know what the quality of the kingston is like, or whether or not its better just 2 pay for the more expensieve pair.

In that case buy the KINGSTON as it is cheaper and will meet your needs just fine as long as you don't intend to oc too much.Goodluck.
