Which RAM to chose from the two?

I am installing a new RAM in my old laptop. This would be the "only" RAM in it (Currently there is none ). Please suggest the better out of the two options below:

Brand: Strontium
Specs: DDR3 4Gb, 1333MHz
Model: SRT4G86S1-H9H

OR

Brand: Samsung
Specs: DDR3 4Gb, 1333MHz
Model: M471B5273DH0-CH9

They both do look the same in specs, however I am unable to gather any more info on them. What else should I look for? Any guidance in this direction would be appreciated.

I will take it there is a price difference, between the two kits you have selected, or intend to buy.
With memory chips them self, you can never really judge the quality of them, and how they will run until you fit them to a system.

But if I was to be honest with you, choose the Samsung SO Dimm at 4Gb over the Strontium branded memory stick.

The memory chips will be of a higher quality for reliability.

Though the memory kit may be a bit more expensive tshrjain, and probably carries a warranty life on the memory module.

So if it does go wrong within a year or so for any reason, it will be replaced free of charge.

Just double check the brand of laptop and it`s model number of it can take a 4gb capacity memory module in one memory slot of the laptop first, if you have not checked.

Because some don`t. unless very new laptops.
Just a bit of advice. just double check and Google the specs of the model number.

Apart from that Samsung out of the two kits for reliability.

Thanks a lot. I guess the specs being the same, I should probably look for the brand. And Samsung does seem to be a better brand.
