Hi,

Is there a big difference between routers? I'm not really familiar with routers, and I have two in mind;
1st choice: D-Link DIR-809 (AC 750)
2nd choice: TP-LINK ARCHER C50 V3
3rd choice: ZyXEL NBG6604 Dual-band 2-in-1

The only differences is that the TP-LINK & ZyXEL has 4 antennas, and their bandwidth capable bigger than D-Link. I would connect a PC (via cable) and a few wireless devices. So is either one of the three a better choice in the end? Wi-Fi link distance is not too important, as my apartment is pretty small.

Also both of the routers LAN is 10/100, and my internet speed is 100 Mbit/s [12.5MB/s], so would I be able to use the full bandwith, or would the router compromise the speed in any way, so would a 10/100/1000 be a better bet? At the moment the TP-LINK is a bit cheaper.

Solution
You will not be able to use all your WAN bandwidth without a router that has gigabit WAN and LAN ports. There is some overhead in ethernet. To get 100Mbit throughput you need 115Mbit actual used bandwidth. So gigabit ports are required.

A good used Asus RT-AC68U from E-bay would be my recommendation. Lots of them come available for about $60 each.
