I selected two routers to get, because they are in my price rang. But I'm confused which one should i get. They are both nearly identical but Reception Sensitivity is different from one another.

TL-WR841N vs TL-WR840N

270M: -70dBm@10% PER vs 270M: -68dBm@10% PER

Sensitivity is in dBm = dB referenced to 1 milliWatt. (Google)

But my question is Lower dBM better or Higher dBm Better ?

But that is some average number it does is not consistent over the full range of frequencies it will be higher or lower it different parts.

If you want your brain to hurt go read the FCC test results that are submitted for every router you will see how over simplistic the number you list is. This is the one for the latest hardware version of the 841

On top of all this there are actually 4 different hardware version of the 840 and 8 hardware versions of the 841. They all have slightly differnet results because they have changed the radio chipsets over time.

I would not worry about tiny difference your house and your end devices will make huge difference also...

Because there are so many hardware revisions for both those routers it makes it very confusing to get any useful data since reviews both by web sites and people who buy them do not always specify what hardware revision they are talking about.
