I'm thinking of buying an RTX 3060 from my local Amazon (.it)
I'd like to get one from a well known brand, preferably a Gigabyte.
There are several models available with a significant price difference.
At most I'd like to spend around 500-550euro

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B096Y2TYKV

Is the Aorus model worth the extra price ? What does it have more than the others ?

https://www.amazon.it/Gigabyte-GeForce-RTX-3060-EAGLE

https://www.amazon.it/ASUS-DisplayPort-Overclock-Axial-Tech-Consigliata/dp/B096658ZWP

Are there other models I should consider ? Or maybe not looking at a 3060 at all ?

Thanks

To be honest, get whatever you feel would be best and whatever looks the most appealing to you. Id say I use a 3060 right now and it performs amazingly. It really wouldnt matter what brand you get. Its really all about the looks and maybe 1 or 2 more frames.

With that budget, you should be looking at a 3060ti, or a 6700/6750xt.

The 3060 is a mid level card. Asus or Gigabyte should be good, especially with EVGA gone.

Have you considered an AMD RX 6600? I'm not able to view those links since Amazon wants to redirect me to the USA website.

But for example, when I look at the Gigabyte RTX 3060, it's $399.99

If I look at a RX 6600, I can get a Gigabyte Windforce triple fan card for $249.99. The difference between those 2 cards is almost non existent, a few percentage points, but the 6600 is about as fast as the 3060.

Although, if you want to spend more, On Amazon, at least in the USA, they've got an MSI RX 6700xt for $429.99. The performance on that is closer to the RTX 3060ti/RTX 3070 and you are only talking about 30 dollars or so.

Here's the link in case you can see it.

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-RX-6700-MECH-12G/dp/B08Z84S3K6/ref=sr_1_42?crid=ZP05LSUZQ9T0&keywords=rx+6700xt&qid=1664546080&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjUzIiwicXNhIjoiMy45OSIsInFzcCI6IjMuMTAifQ==&refinements=p_n_feature_twenty_browse-bin:23572110011,p_n_condition-type:2224371011&rnid=2224369011&s=pc&sprefix=rx+6700xt,electronics,104&sr=1-42

If you can't get that one, here there are other 6700xt cards within 10-20 dollars. So I would consider either getting the RX 6600 to save money, or if you've got a good system now, get the 6700xt. Personally I have an MSI Mech 6700xt like I linked above and it's been a good card the last few months. No complaints. I'm running 1080 144hz, but from what I see online it should run 1440p decently.

The other question is what power supply are you using? Whichever card you choose you want to make sure it has clean stable power so you don't have issues.

As far as what specific card within a certain model, usually the one from a known brand with the best cooling and best warranty, as well as the looks if you care about that. Personally I've been on a budget when I buy typically so I don't tend to look at that as much. For me as long as a card is from a reputable brand, has some type of return policy and works, I'm good.
