Which Rx 480 should I buy ?

Between the sapphire nitro + RX 480 4GB and AMD reference RX 480 8GB which one will perform better and is more future proof ??

For 1080p, the 4GB version is all you need. Even at 1440p, it'll perform very well.

In my opinion, reference cards should only be used in situations where air flow is restricted.

But the newer titles seem to utilize the extra vram and has some performance improvement... negligible though. Anyways thanks

True, but ask yourself it those few frames are worth the extra cash.

Here's a comparison using GTA V, which is a VRAM-intensive game.
