So the ryzen 5 1600x and ryzen 7 1800x have no difference rather then the no of cores, just wanted to know that which will best for gaming?? I mean I heard lesser no of cores, higher the single thread processing(required for gaming), so which is better? And I am using a gigabyte x370 gaming k7 mono and a evga g2 1000w PSU, which will be its peak oc??

If you're willing to adjust clockspeed yourself, a 1600 or 1700 are physically identical to the more expensive 1600X and 1800X respectively, aside from default frequency.

Edit: Games are only lately showing advantage from more than 4 threads, so a 16 thread chip should show very little advantage over a 12 thread one. I expect that in a vast majority of cases, a 1400 or 1500x would perform the same too.

If you only game the 1600x is a great choice considering the price and performance ratio. It can give you above 100fps in virtually every game and has fewer frame rate dips than the 4 core CPUs with no hyperthreading. If you do stream go with the 1800x or 1700, depending on budget.
Your PSU can handle anything.
