Which SATA controller best for RAID0

I'm building around a GA-965P-DQ6 with a pair of 75gb WD Raptors. Haven't RAIDed before...looking to optimize for performance. Looks like i have a choice between 2 SATA controllers both supporting RAID0. Any difference between 'em?

In case this comes into play....

I'm not sure which stripping size is going to be best for me. I'll have a seperate hd for MyDocuments so I'm figuring I can start off at largest....is that something that can be edited after the system is setup?

I suggest any of the 9650 series from 3ware for a true hardware-based RAID 0. And don't forget to get the battery backup module!

I used the IDE RAID mode on that board. I've read that AHCI has a few extra features (that I don't understand), but isn't any faster, and can be more troublesome to get working with the OS.
