Hello!

The issue I'm having is that, I'm going to use both m.2 ports in my "MSI Z390i MPG Gaming Edge AC" (m-ITX board) for a Samsung 860 EVO 250 gb as a boot drive and a Samsung 860 EVO 2 TB as a gaming drive, but the problem comes up when I will be connecting 2 SSHD's from Seagate and I can't find any solution, even in the manual to which of the 4 SATA ports to plug them in to.

Can anyone help me?

Solution

Problems:
Assuming the 860 EVO 250GB and the 860 EVO 2TB are both M.2 drives...you cannot use both of them.
They are both SATA m.2 drives, and that board can only use 1 SATA m.2 drive, in the M2_1 port.

Use of that M2_1 port disables SATA #2 port on the motherboard.
So you can use 1, 3, & 4...

M2_1 supports up to PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gb/s, 2260/ 2280 storage devices
M2_2 supports up to PCIe 3.0 x4, 2260/ 2280 storage devices
The SATA2 will be unavailable when installing M.2 SATA device into M2_1 slot.

You can use both of them, just not with the drives you've chosen.

M2_1 can use either a SATA drive (860 EVO m.2) OR an NVMe drive (970 EVO m.2)
M2_2 can only use an NVMe drive (970 EVO m.2)

You have 2x SATA drives.
That will not work in the M2_2 port.
