If I were to buy a GTX 1070, then which screen should I upgrade to? I'm looking for a 1440p screen but a 1080p @ 144hz will be considered. Currently I'm using a Dell ST2421l.

This is the 1440p monitor I use and love it a bit slow response time but never considered it a factor since it takes you about 200ms to blink your eyes. For G sync it's not even a factor unless your using a high refresh rate monitor and not really worth spending money on for sure.

IPS with very good color and a very good price 27"
i just bought a Benq XL2720Z , this is an awesome monitor ...1080P with 144hz THIS MONITOR IS FOR GAMING PURPOSE
its a TN screen

BUT if you want to do photos/design/3D rendering ...i suggest an IPS screen technology for accurate color and angle view

and other thing is the fact you got an NVIDIA GPU , for gaming you will be best serve with G-SYNC FUNCTIONS , and theses monitors cost an eye , in that case a 24 inches monitor should be around 500$ and above with g-sync
