Careful buying used. Maybe they broke their card and it works for an hour at a time. You never know, and by the time you do its too late. Save and buy a brand new one is my opinion.

Anything secondhand is massively overpriced right now and new gpu’s are very hard to find and often overpriced. If you buy secondhand now do it in the knowledge that it’s overpriced.

Maybe I am best keep trying to get my hands on a PS5 then.

Crazy how it can be so hard to buy something as simple as GPUs and consoles when you have cash in hand.

Yep, with GPU prices today you can't get a decent deal on anything. I bought a used 1080 (in pristine condition, even with box and manual and whatnot) for just $260 or so. Previously I also scored an RX 580 for $60(!) that I traded in for the 1080. The 1080 Ti wasn't all that much, with $400 on local used market being common.

Now? I see used 1080 Tis go for $800 and some even nearing the $900 mark. A used GTX 1650S goes for $200, same for RX 470 through to 580s. A scalper bought 20 3060s and sell them for $1300. What a time to be alive indeed.

My brother has just paid £850 for a 3070 and its not even brand new.

Yeah...at least he did get a 3070 though. Good on him.
Only the 3060 is available somewhat reliably where I live, and even then, only just. 3070 and higher end models are mostly only seen in the hands of media and certain influencers.

Higher end ones are 900-1000e
