Which should i pick?

I'll be using this PC to play games like BF4, Call of duty and Far Cry 3 and upcoming 4.

Intel Xeon 1230 v3

Asus B85M-G (C2)

Crucial BallistiX XT 2x4 Gb

XFX ProSeries 550W

CM Elite 311

WD Blue 1TB

HiS R9 270X

Build 2:

FX 8320

Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

I'd take the Intel build. It will use less power, run cooler, and should perform better in most tasks. The "LE" version of that AMD mobo also has weak VRMs, so it isn't good for overclocking (which the FX line really needs to get the best out of it).

although i would go for a 990fx motherboard for that CPU. The one that you have chosen doesn't have a VRM heatsink on it= bad juju.
