I just got 32 gigs of ram for my system, and now i am looking to purchase either a new graphics card or a new processor. my current graphics card is a GTX 960 2GB and my CPU is an Intel i7 965. the graphics card i'm looking to get is a GTX 1060 6GB. but i don't know much about processors so i don't know what i should get. the question i'm asking is what should i upgrade first? sorry if i miss a few important aspects. I have an 880 watt power supply, so i don't think there are any worries there. I mainly use my system for gaming.

Your i7 should still be decent for gaming, I would get the GTX 1060 6gb then play your games. If your CPU usage stays under 100% then your fine but if it peaks and stays at 100% then your CPU is holding back your GPU (which would be at less then 100% usage) and you may want to consider an upgrade.

I am not familiar with that generation if i7 processors, but it depends on what you do the most on your computer. If I was you I would upgrade cpu since that graphics card is a newer generation as compared to the processor
