Which slot to put Graphics card in when using Samsung's XP941 M.2

Hi,

Getting the rest of my new PC delivered today. It will be:

asrock z97 extreme6

i7-4790k

Samsung's XP941 (M.2) SSD

G.Skill Trident

Samsung EVO 500GB SSD

Sapphire R9 290 (Tri-X)

As the M.2 will have the OS on it and due to its extreme temps (up to 113°C!!!) Is it possible to put the graphics card into one of the slots further away from the M.2? Or does it have to be the 1st PCIe slot?

You can use the second PCIe slot as that is also PCIe 3.0 running at x16
