Which slots do I insert the RAMs?

The Asus x99-A LGA 2011 motherboard has 8 RAM slots in total.
I'm going to be using 4 x 8GB (32GB) but I don't know which slot I'm suppose to insert them in?
Does it matter?

The motherboard's manual should tell you where to place the first, second, third, and fourth RAM stick.
