I would like to have better sound. I won't be using it for work or anything, I just need it for games music, etc. My motherboard is ASUS Z87M-PLUS.
Any tips? I can't chose between these cards:
Creative Sound Blaster Z - 95 Euros
Asus Strix Soar PCI-E - 85 Euros
ASUS XONAR_D1 - 70 Euros
I just want better sound than the build in motherboard soundcard so will the cheaper Xonar D1 do the job? (And some say that the Strix Soar is better than the Blaster Z, but the blaster z doesn't have a front headphones connector.. :/)
The asus xonar d1 for games, music etc?

do you have all the drivers updated and bios?

the audio chipset on your mobo is not really good ..so a pci-e audio card will help ...but you need to remove completly the audio driver of your mobo before install the one for the pci-e one

the creative z series are best

Thanks for replying. Well it may be good but it's more expensive. I know how to uninstall the drivers or I'll check on the web for a tutorial. So The Blaster z vs The Xonar d1? (the strix one doesn't have a front panel connector so rip). Price<=>Quality?
Also ca i use the front panel 3.5 jack? It doesn't lower quality, right? It would be annoying and stressful to connect my headphones from the back of the pc sound jack..
