Hi all!

I was given a free laptop from a family member. - Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5130 - Its hard to really find any specs on it but its an older AMD APU
Since it is so old i'm trying to be cheap and not put a lot of money into it.

I'm only going to use it for web browsing, movies, and Microsoft Office.

I want to upgrade the mechanical hard drive to an SSD... but i have some questions

1. I believe it has a SATA2 interface, Is it worth it to buy a 860 evo or MX 500? Or would a cheap Kingston A400 saturate the interface?

2. Im not going to be storing anything important on the laptop, or a large amount of files... so should I get a 250GB,500GB, or 1TB?

Thanks
Mark

Thanks everyone

I was thinking more like the $29 240 GB Kingston - https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-240...?keywords=ssd&qid=1555175092&s=gateway&sr=8-5
or the $31 Silicon Power 256GB - https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Powe...?keywords=ssd&qid=1555175243&s=gateway&sr=8-8

or just spend the extra money on the $70 MX 500

I wouldn't normally think twice about it, except that the laptop is older and I'm not sure how much more life it has in it. But I think with a new SSD, Battery, and max out the Ram I can get a few more good years out of it.
