I'm upgrading my ~ 3 years old PC and have decided to start with an SSD and later a new Graphics card.

I'm stuck between 3 options:

Samsung 840 Evo 250GB - It has been on the market for a while, and i dont really know if the perfomance issue is completely fixed.

Crucial MX100 256GB - A little cheaper than the 840 Evo

Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - ~ 30 U$S+ more than the 840 Evo (in my country, we always pay a "premium" for new hardware)

Honestly, as long as the SSD is a recent one (last year to 2 years) and you get it from a reputable company then you're fine. Just get a cheap Sandisk or Crucial one and you won't even notice the difference unless you bring up a benchmarking application. After a certain point (especially with SATA, pcie is a little different) the SSD speed isn't easily noticed unless you are using synthetic benchmarks. Just get the Crucial and you'll be fine.

Yeah, after thinking about it for a little while I've decided to fo for the MX100 or 850 Evo. It just depends the price of both.

Do you know any good SSD optimization guide ?

Just make sure your SATA ports are configured to use AHCI mode in BIOS and that TRIM is enabled. These are both usually set by default. You don't need to worry about turning off the page file or disabling superfetch any more. The write limitation problems SSDs used to have just are not present anymore, they're pretty much plug-and-play.
