Question Which SSD to get heat sink?

Quick question: about to start assembling new system and the new MB (Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus) has only one heat sink for the NVMe SSDs. I have two: one 500GB for W10 and applications, and a 1TB for data.

Which drive should be heat sunk?

After everything is running, run a monitoring app like HDmonitor, will tell you how hot the SSD are running, give it to the one that is running the hotter.

thanks.....and then switch them around if needed.

Theoretically then which drive should need it? I am thinking that theW10/App drive.....no?

SSD temperature sensors come in two flavours. One type uses a discrete temperature sensor IC to sense the air temperature, whereas the other senses the temperature of the controller's die. The latter will report higher values.
