Hello!
there's currently a promotion running with my local e-tailer on SSD's (% discount and you get accessories / gifts with any SSD in the promotion)

I've Been looking into getting one for a while now, currently have a firecuda 2TB SSHD. and a really old 1tb 5400rpm drive, which i want to replace with a 500GB ssd.

here are the ones in the promotion i'd consider starting from cheapest:
(note: NOT US, these are 15-25% off normal prices here.. + the present makes it a good deal)
Kingston A400 - 2.5in - 480GB - 70$
ADATA SX6000 Lite - M.2 - 512GB - 80$
Kingston SSDNow UV500 - 2.5 in - 480GB - 82$
Intel 660p - M.2 - 512GB - 83$
Crucial MX500 - 2.5in - 500GB - 86$
WD blue SN500 - M.2 - 500GB - 90$
Samsung 860 Evo - 2.5in - 500GB - 94$

My use case:
  • Gaming
  • Graphics design / editing / digital painting
  • 3D modeling / 3d print and occasional rendering
  • light video editing
  • i would like to keep the same SSD for 5 years
  • M.2 would be good not for the speed but for space / removing 1 extra cable, as i doubt i would see much difference from a regular SATA.
im not really trusting of the quality of Kingston or ADATA.

PC Specs:
CPU - Ryzen 1700 - OC 4.1ghz
Mobo - Asus B350-F Gaming
GPU : Asus GTX 1080 A8G
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance white 2666
Storage: Seagate firecuda 2TB SSHD

So? what's your personal opinion?
if you think i should consider one that's not on this list please do say so!
and anyone have any experience with any of these?

Many thanks!

Thank you !
i am in kind of a 3 way battle in my mind with the samsung, crucial and the WD.

Performance wise the samsung and crucial are on par,
Samsung has an edge with 300TBW while crucial has 180TBW capacity ..
but the crucial is rated for 1.800.000 hours while samsung is 1.500.000 hours.
crucial is also bit cheaper, but comes with a less enticing accesory
the WD Also has 300 TBW and has 1.750.000 hours ..
its speeds far exceeds that of both the others, it saves an extra cable, i can finally use the M.2 slot instead of it sitting there being useless, but i'm not sure of the quality of the product.

your comment is making me lean more towards the 2 2.5 inch drives, but still indecisive.
