I'm thinking of buying an Alienware m15x for $1899

System Specs
15.4" WideXGA 1400x900 lcd (720p)
512mb Nvidia Geforce 9800m GT
Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5ghz (6mb cache 800 mhz fsb)
Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1
4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667 mhz
160GB at 7,200 rpm (8mb cache)
8x Dual Layer Burner

For the processor should I swing for a T9500 at 2.6 instead of the T9300 at 2.5 (increases price by $275)
and for the graphics go for an ATI HD 3870 instead of the Geforce 9800m GT (drops the price by $150)
and for the screen should I go for the 15.4 WideUGA LCD 1920x1200 (1200p) increase of $150

A 100 mhz increase for $275 is a little ridiculous if you ask me.

I'd personally go with the ATI as I don't think the 9800 is worth $150 more in performance.

I would go with the higher resolution monitor, though. It would be good for video playback, and you'd get a great eye candy bonus in games (at least older ones that could play at that resolution without choppiness).

thanks for all the replies,

i was thinking of keeping the lower resolution myself because of the 15.4" screensize
and stickin with the 9800m gt, because it has a higher rating on benchmark tests
and definitely the slight increase in processor is absurd...

thanks once again...will definitely check out the sagem you mentioned
