Which Temperature Should I Pay Attention To - AMD FX-6300

BIOS Reading of my CPU temperature is TMPIN0. Core temp says the temperature is the one under package.

If I were to watch out for high temperatures, which one should I look at.

I'm not really familiar with AMD CPUs so I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!

I am pretty much in the same situation as you, I think the top one (TMPIN0) is the socket temperature, which accordingly is the one to watch, but what I think is "what is the point of the second temperature".

Exactly what I'm thinking. Reading the temperatures of 6300s I'm thinking the TMPIN0 is kinda high, but the package temp is kinda alright. Sometimes it even reaches 11C when my ambient is low. Regular ambient here is around 34C.

Pay attention to the socket temp. The core temps are usually a bit off until you get around 40C

No problem, also, you want to keep your temps under 62C
