I went to a power supply calculator

TFX doesn't have a standard 'shape' as such, almost all TFX are proprietary in some way or another, and that can especially include shapes.

What is needed is the old psu model number or the system brand/model number (like Dell optiplex 1900 or HP elite 2030 slim) etc so that a matching psu shape in a larger capacity with the right connectors can be found.

You aren't slapping any old TFX into a Dell for certain.
Unless you really need this specific PC for some reason, might be better off spending that money on a refurbished office PC.

$70 is basically halfway to something like a i5-3470, 8GB of DDR3, some SSD, and integrated graphics faster than a 4650.

Seasonic is a good brand, so I imagine that will do nicely if you want to purchase it.

Most PSU calculators can't really be trusted, they assume worst case loads that aren't very realistic.

I don't believe any of the power supplies I had around the time of the XP 3200+ were much bigger than 300W. Most GPUs had just started using a 4-pin molex connector for power.

It is true that older systems used more 5V power than computers do today. However, there aren't many TFX alternatives.

Are you certain that is the form factor you need?

Oof. That's going to be a challenging build. Since the case already comes with a somewhat lackluster 300w psu, I'd leave that alone, because you'll need the money to find a 1/2 height, slim gpu with AGP interface. I do believe that gigabyte is a bit too tall off the board to put the side panel back on.

ah yes, you are right. haha. I have a low-profile card anyway or i have the onboard to go to. Not going to do much gaming on it anyway. Thanks for pointing that out-- Somehow I over looked that??? I was even looking at the length to make sure it fit but not height I guess-- lol
