Which to choose????

So I'm building a new gaming RIG and I'm pretty much down to selecting a video card. I've narrowed it down to these two HIS H687F1G2M Radeon HD 6870, or PowerColor AX6870 1GBD5-2DH Radeon HD 6870. I've seen the specs for both cards but they both seem to have there ups a downs. If you were building my RIG which would you think is better or which would you choose?? Open to suggestions as long as it doesn't break the 200$ mark????

Theoraticly yes, but if it's worth the extra 20 bucks ? Not sure. I starting to see your problem choosing between the two, the more i read, the more i am doubting. Powercolor seems to be just as fine so maybe go for the cheapest one then. On the other hand the His will cool better i believe ( also keeping the hot air out of your system.)

I agree with rob about HIS over Powercooler - for additional information on best brands of video cards see this web page which lists the HIS but not power cooler:

But why did you narrow it down to those two? For that card model I would select this XFX card - which is only $160 after rebate and carries a lifetime warranty:

Hmmpfff, i see my first link is out of stock, and i'm not sure if the second is worth the money, you pay extra for the 2GB Vram and probably don't need it all together. Don't know if you can get it where you are at, but this one's also nice ; XFX Radeon HD6870 Dual Black. Factory oc to 940.

Really digging the XFX Radeon HD 6870 Black Edition its sold out lame might have to waite for it. Newegg gets the job done thanks for the link Rocky. So now its between HIS and the XFX card Rob posted what do you think HIS? or wait for the XFX card?

Yeah, and you can always overclock it yourself. Also cheaper. ( i just like the Black Edition brandname, but i'm weird probably ) ( i'm Dutch, sue me ! ) That's missing in the Rolling Stones song, i realize now ; I see a video card and i want to paint it black. :lol:
