[SOLVED] which upgrade should i go for ?

I wnat to upgrade my pc. i have 2 options ..
1. i5 9400f paired with my current gtx 1050 ti or
2.i5 6500 paired with a gtx 1060 3gb

i mostly do games.. which one should i go for .. and which will be the most future proof ...cant upgrade anytime soon...

my current rig :
i3 2100
gigabyte h61m
gtx 1050 ti
8 gb 1633mhz ram

The i5 6500 paired with a gtx 1060 3gb will perform better in games.
But, if you go with the i5 6500 platform you might not have a path to current CPU upgrades in the near future.
The i5 9400F is a current CPU and that platform (the motherboard) will allow you to upgrade to current faster CPUs.
Ultimately, it will be up to you, but if it was me I would sell the GTX 1050 ti and go with the newer Intel 9 series platform.
