Hey guys,

Just put together a system with the below components and am wondering which UPS to get.

Apparently because of PFC compatibility im pretty much looking at the CyberPower PFCLCD line of UPS'.

Computer components:
XFX PRO850W XXX Edition Semi-Modular 80 Plus Silver Certified 850 Watt Active PFC Power Supply

ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III PE/OC Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5

SAMSUNG EcoGreen F4 HD204UI 2TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid Cooling System

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Intel i5-2500k Cpu

Cooler master HAF 922 case

I will also have 1 24" monitor attached

I dont know if I need the 1350VA/810w or 1000VA/600w model.

Thanks for your help guys

Solution
If a UPS is necessary in your area, then the UPS should be sized to 75% of the PSU plus the monitor power. In your case that would mean the 810 watts unit. 600 watts may be on the low side and may not do the job when you need it the most!

In reality a UPS is required in all areas... Not sure why you'd be limited to a Cyberpower UPS based on PFC compatibility? I've used mostly APC UPS's with excellent results. I have no experience with Cyberpower though they tend to get decent reviews of which there are few on UPSs.

Compatibility and Price are the reason Im going with Cyberpower. I dont want to spend $400 on a UPS for a $1200 computer.
