Which version is for me?

Hi, I have ordered a build with Intel Q9400, 4 GB OCZ PC6400 RAM, 500 GB HDD. Which version will work with it, the 32 bit or the 64 bit?

I'm just wondering becos when I tried the 64 bit version on my sister's laptop, it says it's not compatible even though it's a pretty new laptop with all the requirements needed for 64 bit Windows 7. It has Windows Vista installed though, is that why it's saying not compatible?

64 bit should work fine. I'd go with that one.

The message you're seeing, is telling you that you can't upgrade from 32bit Vista, to 64bit Windows 7. Its not that the hardware is incompatible... you just can't upgrade from within Vista. To install 7, you'd have to install on a separate HD, partition your HD, or overwrite your current Vista partition.
