Hello!

i am new to Building my pc and i am upgrading my Graphics Card from an
AMD HD 6850 to a Nvidia GTX 1070 however i do not know if it will fit will because there appears to be 3 on amazon

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) 08G-P4-5173-KR

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, Double BIOS, DX12 OSD...
by EVGA

ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX OC Edition Graphic Card STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GA...
by Asus

i think some of these are different because they have LED lights and stuff on them but i cant tell which cost more simply because of aesthetics or because they are some how better in performance.

so my question is. which of these will fit in the same slot as my AMD HD 6850? and which is better according to it fitting and dollar wise because i would buy the expesive flashy one if the others will not fit for whatever reason.

just in case you need to get an i dea for my full build here it is from userbenchmark.com

this is my first post so thank you for your help!

Solution
HD6850 vs GTX1070:
The GTX1070 is almost exactly 6X more powerful with more video memory.

In theory if no CPU bottleneck you could get up to about 6x the FPS though in reality you would likely aim for about 60FPS and adjust the game settings towards that.

(in some games I force on Adaptive VSYNC to avoid stuttering if I drop below 60FPS. I tweak so I'm at 60FPS at least 90% of the time. I use it for some of the Assassin's Creed games that seem to have big FPS drops... so I get screen tear now but much less sudden, jarring stutters).

NCP-> manage 3d settings-> .. add game-> Adaptive VSYNC-> Save (test)

OTHER:
My EVGA FTW3 card gets a weird fan "scraping" sound every time it comes out of being OFF or moving near a low RPM.
- I ended...
They will all fit the PCIex16 slot that the old card was in. As far as length and other dimensions, you need to check the specs of the card you choose and then do a little measuring inside your case to be sure. Your link just shows a whole lineup of PCs, not necessarily the one you may have.

*Almost every CASE lists the card length it supports. Just go to the web page for it.

(or measure as said, but your link is no good as it shows MANY cases)

**The Asus Strix is a bit quieter, but they are all great cards. The EVGA FTW GTX1080 was still quiet but I adjusted the fan profile a bit which is even better.

The GTX1070 would be quieter than a GTX1080.

(They will all turn off the fans BTW in idle and light usage.)

*Big jump BTW.. will depend on game, CPU requirement etc but at rough guess I'd say it's got 5x more processing power? Huge difference.

- I ended up making the fan always on about 10% (which I can't hear) to avoid this as it really bugged me
- not sure if it's common but Asus Strix does not have this issue AFAIK

Asus Strix is probably more expensive, and you probably will see little performance benefit and noise may not matter as the EVGA 1070 is still pretty quiet.
