Which version of windows 8

I need a 64 bit version and not 8.1 as it is free to upgrade from 8 to 8.1 you only pay £10 for the ease of one installation.
I am abit scrapped for cash
So I think Windows 8 Pro, Upgrade Edition vs Windows 8 Standard
Differences - ?
(i have a new computer currently being built)

I suggest standard 64-bit. Upgrade is only if you have an opperating system already on a pc. Pro doesn't offer anythinng worth having.

You're right. Windows 8 Pro costs more than standard Windows 8. It must be on sale or is an upgrade version to be cheaper.

Just get the cheapest, full version of 64-bit Windows 8. There's really not much point getting Pro/Full version.

Then get the normal version of Windows 8. It doesn't matter if it's retail or OEM or System Builder.
An upgrade version won't do you any good.
