I switched to a cosmos 1000 cause i wanted a full tower from an Antec 902 and all my temps went up. I have a tru ultra 120 exteme push/pull setup should I face it pointing towards the top fans ( I currently have that) im idling at 48 degrees clocked to 4ghz on a d0 stepping. Or should i have it face towards the back fan? Wasn't able to find a clear picture online thanks.

Either one of those configurations should be ok. The only problem with pointing it up is that you may be pulling warm air off your GPU and pushing it across your HS/F (depends on how much room you have to your GPU and what type/how hot your GPU gets). If you face it towards the back of the case, you'll be pulling fresher/cooler air from the front of the case.

my gpu is at the very bottom and idles at around 39 degrees. my ram doesnt radiate much hot but is pretty hot so i might switch... cant decide its such a pain too 🙁 but i would like to optimize my setup. I may add two fans in the drive bay area of the case and switch my HS to face the back so all 4 fans push in one direction?

AS5 is over rated now. It's no longer the king of the hill. ShinEtsu,MX2/MX3 and IC Diamond all beat it.

@OP: Try re-seating the cooler and re-applying the thermal paste. HSF should face the rear so the air flow from front to back.
