HI,
I decided to ask the question separately from the other thread.
OK so I had a problem with my WIFI and now it is completely DEAD apart from Ethernet

The WIFI Adapter is: Intel Centrino Wireless-N 100 Driver Date 30/04/2015 Ver: 15.11.0.9
The computer is a ASUS K53SV, OS Windows 10 ver: 21H1 (build 19043.1110) 64bit
My question is Which should I get, internal or USB and Which one? Anything specific?
Thank you in advance

Looking at this teardown -- https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Asus+K53S+-X156V+Thermal+Paste+Replacement/95857
It looks fairly trivial to replace the module. I would look for a dual band AC module. If you use an internal module, you get the advantage of the large antenna built into the lid...

This thread on the Intel website has a list of replacement cards linked -- https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Wifi-card/td-p/372166
The 7260 AC would be my recommendation. About $30 on Amazon.
