Which Windows 8 Computer?

My dad is getting a new laptop for business and basically wants windows 8 that runs faster than his current one and doesn't lag and is touchscreen. He is down to these two:

ASUS is a much more reliable model, but you listed a refurbished model so the reliability is questionable due to that.

I'd pick a new version of the ASUS unless you are OK with taking a slightly higher chance of failure.
