I plan to do a clean install for my Toshiba Satellite L745-S4210 laptop. I recently installed Windows 10 but afterwards found out Toshiba doesn't provide drivers/support for Windows 10 for my model laptop. The laptop originally came with Windows 7 installed but I've heard Microsoft will soon stop supporting that operating system. I want to choose a Windows operating system that will remain stable and supported (driver updates, etc.) for as long as possible (I'm assuming that any Windows system prior to Windows 10 can be purchased for low cost or obtained for free). For my model laptop, the following Windows systems are listed by Toshiba as still supported for my laptop : Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or Vista.
I'd appreciate any advice regarding choosing a Windows operating system for this laptop after wiping hard drive (including OS).
