First of all, are wireless adapters and cards the same? Please don't be rude, I simply am an idiot!

Which card should I go for (Ignoring price):
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
or
TP-Link TL-WN881ND 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter

What is the difference also?

If I cannot run an ethernet cable, then will the wifi adapter be a good choice with not much difference in mbps?

One more thing, are ethernet cables faster than wifi adapters or wifi cards?

Solution
The top adapter is a faster model with one more antenna for better signal.

Wifi will be slower then wired(Ethernet). The further away from the wireless access point, the slower it will be.

Ethernet will always be faster than wifi.
You should get the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 instead of the TP-Link TL-WN881ND because the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 has download capabilities of 450Mbps dual band while the other one is only 300Mbps single band. So the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 will be faster because of its speed and since it is dual band. The wi-fi adapter should be sufficient if there are not many obstructions from the router to the adapter. Ethernet cables can be faster depending on the type and are usually more reliable.
