Which would be best for Arma3? And could I use 6 out of the 8gbs on the R9 390 dedicated to the game?

I want to know which would give the highest FPS, the Sapphire Nitro Radeon R9 390 8gb Tri-x OC or the MSI GTX 970 100 Million Edition. And how much of the Vram could I dedicate on the R9 390?

The R9 390 is a more powerful card but uses almost 2 times the power of the 970. Not sure what you mean about the vram, you don't have to do anything, it's onboard the card, it will manage it's own memory.

In arma 3 when It comes to the 390 vs the 970, the amd is better. but sometimes a weaker Gtx card will beat a amd card in arma 3 because of the pixel rate. The pixel rate of a card helps in arma 3.This is not one of those cases.
