[SOLVED] Which would be best?

So in about 2 weeks I'm gonna buy a new GPU. I'm not sure if I want to buy a 5700 XT/2070 Super with a new 27" 1440p 144hz monitor or just buy a 2080 Super for same cost as the previous combined. I will be primarily playing Modern Warfare and Borderlands 3

What’s your total budget for the GPU and/or monitor?

$750-$770 USD before tax and will be purchased from MicroCenter Dallas, TX location

Well I’d go with 5700xt and a monitor I guess. A 2080 super would be a waste without a 1440p 144hz monitor.

I will say that I am purchasing a monitor but probably not for 3-6 months

If you are ok with your current monitor and plan to buy a new one later then the better buy would be the 2080 super for now as it will drive more FPS than a 5700xt.

Other question is would it be worth getting monitor now and getting just a 2080? 9r still get 2080 super?

Eh it’s about same price per performance. 2080 is a good card. It’s about 10% more for a 2080 super and about 10% more FPS. So in a game where you would get 50 with a 2080 you’ll get like 55 with a super.
