Which would be the best watercooling kit out of these two?

As the title says, help me pick the best one, or any alternatives for around that price

I believe the one from Scan has better warranty

I always trust EK WaterBlocks to be a rather high quality, I would go with that one.

I'm leaning more towards EKWB anyways, I think they also include the coolant and XSPC does not (not sure).

Also, how/where would I add a Ball Valve for draining the loop? Or is this pointless?

They are both quality kits, either would be a good choice.

I usually just drain the system from the lowest connection, I almost never use a proper drain valve.

You don't necessarily need a drain valve but it can be as simple as a T-line with a plug.

Definitely the EK kit, comes with the EK Supremacy EVO CPU water block, which bested my Raystorm water block by a full 5c.

EKWB for sure. They are awesome. Don't look at warranty like someone said, EKWB are an awesome company. Call them and they will take care of you.

So for draining I'd just make sure I have a bowl or something to catch the coolant and place it under the lowest point of the loop?

Check the EKWB website. They have all the info such as cleaning, algae, opening and resealing the blocks, draining, etc.... They are good on providing info and the kit will come with good instructions. EKWB is the king of watercooling, no worries there.
