Lets say I have an option for a gaming rig. My options are:

(2) GTX 1080ti’s asus (11gb i think)
(2) 1080ti MSI trio
(1) titan XP
(1) titan Pascal

Im a nub so i think i listed them in order of what Id rather take correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for your info and of course the 1080’s will be in SLI bridges

Sli is basically pointless nowadays and those titans are not even close to work their money and one is even last gen and a good bit worse than the 1080ti's.

Just always get a single stronger card over multiple ones. The rtx 2080 is coming out soon so that might be your best bet but no benchmarks are out atm so hard to tell.

Doesnt answer your question. But 1x 2080 ti. You definitely dont want to buy any of those titans for gaming. And I wouldn't bother with sli unless I absolutely had too. For your question and brand aside if you had to do it 1&2 are the right choice.

ethanspurlin50 Are you really considering purchasing one of these setups within the next 30 days, or is your question academic, and you're just trying to develop an interesting conversation? There is no way to intelligently answer this question without you providing some additional information: What is your current setup, or are you building from scratch? If so, then what is your budget? What are your gaming goals, such as resolution and FPS? Name two or three games that you plan to focus on. Are you located in the U.S.? If not, then please provide two websites that you'd consider buying components from.

To begin with that question i was curious as to why people were using these gpu’s in these set ups and wanted to see why it would pose such advantages.

@Rcald2000:
Would you know an ideal set up to build around 1440p at 165ghz in most games or are there no ideal gaming systems capable of handling this if price isnt an issue.

Any advice on a system that you could make or dream up of handling such a feet on most games
