Get a FreeSync monitor.

I think 144Hz is plenty. Certainly 27" 1440p is better than 25" 1080p for game immersion. 240Hz is just a silly gimmick.

I thought free sync was only for amd cards not nvidia?

Nice just found it didn't even realise and well that opens up a whole lot more monitors lol

Yeah, and don't worry about the "qualified auto-enabled" monitors list. Nvidia just started at the beginning of the alphabet looking for the 2.4:1 VRR monitors. If you're shopping for 144Hz, that shouldn't be a problem. Until they wake up from their snooze and fill in the rest of the list, you can manually enable FreeSync on any FS monitor using a 10xx or 20xx Nvidia GPU.
