Question Which x470 would you choose?

I'm not an overclocker beyond AMD overdrive and I use MSI afterburner to ramp my fan speed on my graphics card to keep it cool. My internet is hard wired so wi-fi is not a must. The link D-man posted leads me to believe the ASrock fatality is the best board for the money. The main parts to a motherboard I'm not savvy on is the power phases and such. Ports and most of the basics I have a firm grasp on. I'm mainly looking for something dependable that won't be a problem keeping cool and handles modest overclocking consistently. A header for front panel 3.0 USB is a must.

According to the specs, that ASrock Fatality X470 has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 headers so you can connect 4 front panel USB 3.0 ports.

I personally didn't do much research on X470 boards because I was only looking at B450 boards when I built my Ryzen 5 2600 rig.
But I would read as many reviews as you can find for that exact board before making your final decision.
This review seems to be pretty thorough:

Quote from the link DMan999 posted- "Worthy of note is that there is only a single ROM chip, no backup, and there is no mention of any software flashback safeguard either such as a dedicated USB port you can plug a flash drive in to and have the system automatically re-flash the firmware in the event of a bad update. Nobody likes having to dismantle their system for RMA should a failed update occur when such situations can be easily avoided in these technological times some kind of flashback safeguard is something all boards should come with these days for convenience not to mention the hassle and downtime saved that a backup ROM chip or a firmware flashback feature via the use of a dedicated USB port provides." ...........Can someone elaborate on this or is it as simple as it sounds?

That was what I thought as well. Just wanted a second opinion. They only rated it at 75% or a bronze rating. It looks nice but doesn't have the sustainable overclock frequencies of other mid-level boards in it's class. I'm not much of an overclocker but Tom's put this board in a class above the other 2 I listed in the beginning of this thread. I will check if extreme systems has reviewed any of the other boards.

I'd also look at B450 boards like the MSI Carbon Pro AC and B450 Tomahawk, they reviewed as well or even better than the mid-level X470 boards.
Also I have an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming mb with a Ryzen 5 2600 OC'd to 3.95 GHz and I am very happy with it even though it didn't review as well as the MSI B450 boards.
