Which Z97 mobo?

Hello Tom's Hardware!
I currently have the amd A10 7850k with Gigabyte A88x mobo. I decided to switch to intel, and that's a field i know nothing about since i have never owned an intel cpu. I decided to get the pentium G3258 with a z97 mobo for future upgrade to 4690k. Now, i would appreciate if you could tell me which z97 to get, the only thing that matters is future i5 overclocking capability. I don't need sli of crossfire, and don't care about anything else than oc-ing, so i don't really know if there's any difference between say 80€ mobo or 120€ one in terms of overclocking. If you could explain that to me that would be great!

prices here are the same. so there is no difference between gigabyte z97p-d3 for 90€ and lets say z97x gaming 3 in terms of oc-ing?

Oh and one other thing. I was looking at Asrock Z97 Extreme3. I noticed it needs the latest version of BIOS in order for the pentium to work. But how could i know what version of BIOS is on the board once i buy it? On the official website doesnt say anything, but even if it would, i still had no way of knowing what will i get with the mobo i order. It could have been sitting on the shelf for a year and still has old version of bios and then it won't work right? How can i be sure?
