While gaming sometimes my monitor will turn off and say no signal, keyboard on, but doesn't work, but game sounds continue.

lately while playing games, randomly sometimes my monitor will turn off, then it will say "no signal", like it does when i turn my computer off. However, I can still hear sounds from the game, even voice chat. My keyboard light will still be on, but it doesn't appear to have any effect on the system. Any ideas?

I've tried:
updated mobo firmware
updated videocard drivers

details:
OS: windows 10
Video Card: nVidia 980 gtx
Power Supply: OCZ 900W

I'm not seeing any display driver errors. Just the typical unexpected reboot errors.
I have not seen it recover, however I have only waited about a minute tops, before I just force a reboot.

I shut the system down every night. So it gets rebooted regularly.

Maybe I'll try purchasing a new PSU and see if that helps

Oh, I was checking Event viewer, and I didn't see any hardware issues. I just checked the "Reliablility Monitor" and I found several video card issues. That must be it! I'll try checking for video card drivers or rolling back to previously stable ones.
