While using PC, DDR3 stick explodes

I was playing BF3 and then one of my OCZ sticks of DDR3 exploded, my PC froze. I inspected my motherboard and the DDR3, one of the sticks had its headsink blown off, and one of the chips was lying on the bottom of my case.\
Why and should I be alarmed? 😱
