Question White cloud blotches on my monitor screen ?

Hello There!

Since last week some white clouds have started to appear on my BenQ GL2250HM 21.5" monitor screen. and it looks like it is spreading. Is this because of humidity or something? Should I replace it? Or will it go away on its own? Here is the photo I have taken:

Might I ask how old the display is? To me it looks like Fungal growth on the part between the LCD and the display surface protecting the panel from general scratches/minor damage.

I bought it in 2015. I am planning to buy a new one in two months, I am curious if this one will last that long.
