Hi guys! I have an Asus laptop, F200MA-KX386B, with an Intel HD Graphics card..
I noticed that if I try to play an .mkv video with VLC, there are some white flashes going on and off.. you can check them in this video that I made:

I tried to update the video card's driver, I tried to re-install VLC, and I even downloaded a codec pack (K-Lite), which made possible to actually play the movie on Windows Media Player, but it looks slow. On VLC it didn't change anything :(
any help???
thanks!!

Hi,

Few questions:
1. Does it happen even when playing regular DVD movies?
2. How about in Youtube?

If it's happening as well when playing regular DVD disk it might be a driver problem then.
- Do uninstall/reinstall the graphics driver
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Intel graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Feature for anything related to Intel graphics.
- Download and install the latest driver from Intel's site.
- Here's the link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ (just use the automatic update)
- Once installed reboot your PC then try playing videos again.

If it's only happening with that specific file or a file format (.mkv) that's just a codec issue. Uninstall/reinstall the codec software you've install and try it again.
