I've been having this problem for a while when my monitor wakes up from standby the screen would be full of multi-coloured lines like this- http://imgur.com/a/LK09O -and I had begun experiencing artifacting in games, so I got a new gpu. The artifacting stopped, but I came across the issue again, only now it's a little different- http://imgur.com/a/AbN8I -so I'm hoping someone can help me figure out the problem
mobo - Asrock extreme 3
cpu - FX 8320
gpu - R9 390
psu - EVGA 750W
ram - G.Skill 8GB (2x4GB)
Built it in late 2014 except for the gpu.
A few other random problems, I notice since around the time I installed the new gpu my cursor image gets stuck, like if I hover the edge of a window it'll stay as a resizing arrow for a couple seconds or until I click something. Lastly my pc has always had very occasional random restarts, the latest being two weeks ago. Usually months in between them, and only once while under load, all the other times it happens when I wasn't even using the computer, including last time.
I'm always monitoring my temps, so I know that's not the issue. Happens even if I switch monitors. CrystalDiskInfo says my harddrives alright, HWiNFO says everything is getting the power it needs, I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and it didn't find any problems, tried using only one stick of RAM at a time, nothing changed. I've re-installed the gpu drivers, tried rolling them back, tried going back to Catalyst, nothing changed. Any ideas at all would be appreciated!
