So i just upgraded and bought a new video card... a Geforce 470
Installed all the drivers, blah blah blah

I've noticed that behind all the text, is a white glow. Its kinda annoying.
Same monitor, and same settings as before (1920x1080, 60Hz refresh rate, 32-bit Color Depth)

Does anyone know how to fix this slight issue?
Thanks a million

My computer is:
AMD: Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2991 MHz
Mobo: Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 v.2
RAM: 4GB Mushkin DDR2 PC2-6400
OS: Win 7 64bit
VC: Geforce GTX 470

I have had the same problem when I upgraded my Monitor and began using the HDMI cable. I switched back to DVI-D and it was gone. Don't forget clear type if you turned it off.

Yes, I do know this is a old thread but I'll post a fix here in hope that it'll help someone.

You'll need Aves Vista Style Builder and Photoshop to remove the glow.

When you have AVSB (it's available on a certain site) running, you'll want to click open and find whatever theme you're using.

Search "glow" in the top right corner and you should see two dropdown menus, DWMWindow and TextGlow.

The one you need to change is the TextGlow IN the DWMWindow, not the <1> in the TextGlow.

Click on TextGlow then click Edit, you'll need top open it with Photoshop.

Use Magic Eraser Tool to erase the image, then save and exit.

Test it out on AVSB and if it worked click save.

Now, I'm not sure if it's different for each theme but this is what worked with mine.
