Hey all, I started up GTAV online and suddenly white particles popped up on my screen and crashed my system.

Before this happened I had my PC on for a couple hours doing homework as I usually do...

After restarting it and hoping it was just a ont time crash it happened again when I started up GTA. After another restart.. (power down + power flush) it's happening on Windows after being on for 3-5 minutes.

I reseated the GPU (it's most likely the problem, could be dead) reinstalled drivers (clean install) and still persists.. any thoughts on what it might be?
I've had my CPU for many years now and my GPU for just a couple weeks...

CPU: i7 7700k
GPU: MSI RTX 2070

Yup, from the screens which you have posted, those artifacts/square boxes do indicate that your GPU might be faulty/dead. Most probably a VRAM corruption issue. Is this a brand NEW GPU ?

Which POWER SUPPLY unit are you using for this card ?? What happens if you play other Games ?

After switching back to my GTX 970 the issue went away.

Yes this card is brand new bought it from best buy. I'm still under the return period so I'm going today and probably picking up a founders edition.

To power my system I am using an EVGA 750 watt G2 80+ gold
